Men's Soccer Defeats Keene State 4-2 In Season Opener

Sophomore Gerard Lewis recorded a goal and an assist for the Bombers
Keene, N.H. -- The men's soccer team defeated host Keene State 4-2, at the Diadora Soccer Showdown to open the season. Sophomore midfielder Gerard Lewis (Scotia-Glenville/Scotia) scored his first career goal for the Bombers. Junior Matt DuBois (Westbrooke/Westbrooke, Maine) also tallied a goal with an assist from Lewis.
 
Sophomore Jeff South (Aptos/ Aptos, Calif.)  added a goal in the 62nd minute, and junior forward Kurt Odenbach (McQuaid Jesuit/Webster) rounded out the scoring for the Bombers in the final minute with the 16th goal of his career.
 
Junior goalie Andy Wilhelm (Centennial/Ellicott City, Md.) finished the game with six saves.
 
The Bombers continue action at the Diadora Soccer Showdown tomorrow with a game against Worcester State at noon.
